Upon arrival at the Mumbai airport, our tour representative greets you and escorts you to the hotel pre-booked for your stay. After breakfast on the 2nd day, get all set for the city tour of Mumbai, also called the ‘City of Dreams’ and the ‘Celluloid Capital of India’. Some of the popular attractions of Mumbai that you visit today include the very well-known Gateway of India- a monument that was erected to memorialize the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1924 and the UNESCO World heritage site of the Elephanta caves that are an amalgam of Buddhist and Hindu religious rock art caves dating back to the 7th century.
In the morning on day 3, you get timely transferred to the Mumbai airport to board the flight to party capital of India, the beach state of Goa. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Once all the formalities are done, the day is at leisure. You can now explore this vibrant world-renowned destination on your day. This amazing destination has a lot to offer including thrilling water sports, old Portuguese churches, floating casinos, serene and beautiful beaches, exciting nightlife, exotic wildlife and much more.
On day 4, after breakfast, get all set for a sightseeing tour of North and South Goa. While north Goa sees more of action-packed touristy activity, South Goa is comparatively a quite retreat. Explore the capital city of Panjim, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary and Goa Science Centre. Goa is dotted with innumerable tourist attractions. The day is going to be fun-filled.
On the 5th day of the tour, you bid goodbye to the ‘Beach Capital of India’-Goa and get to the Goa Airport to board the flight for Cochin. On reaching Cochin airport, our tour representative offers you an assisted transfer to the hotel where you complete the check-in. Now, you can relax for a while. The rest of the day is at leisure and you can partake in the activities of your interest. This major city is also known as Ernakulam and attracts a lot of traders for business. This serene metropolitan is dotted with several stunning architectures and other attractions.
Day 6 is scheduled for a city tour of Cochin including the Chinese Fishing Nets, Dutch Palace St. Francis Church and 400 year old Jewish Synagogue. After exploring the prime city attractions, hit the road to Munnar, probably the most popular hill station of the south Indian state of Kerala. Fondly referred to as the ‘Switzerland of India’, Munnar boasts of abundant natural beauty, salubrious weather, refreshing cool breeze, stunning views and, aromatic tea and coffee estates. Check-in at the hotel is followed by sightseeing. Have a rendezvous with the exotic wildlife of the region at Eravikulam National Park, home to a rare species of a kind of mountain goat- Nilgiri tahr. Embark on a jungle safari inside the national park. Thereafter, visit the old town of Munnar and get your hands on some interest souvenirs.
Post breakfast today, get ready for a wildlife safari inside Eravikulam National Park, one of the most popular wildlife reserves of Kerala. Spot animals like the rare mountain goats locally called Nilgiri Tahr, leopard, Indian bison, Tiger, leopard and so on. The national park has also been blessed with rich biodiversity of high elevation shoal-grassland ecosystem. Later on, the evening is at leisure.
Start your day early and enjoy a morning walk in the aromatic verdant tea estates of Munnar. Savor the serenity spread all around and spot a rare flower seen in the region- Neela Kurunji. Later on, you leave by road for Thekkady, the site for very popular Periyar National Park, famed as tiger and elephant reserve. Upon arrival, check- in at a jungle resort/ lodge. Take some rest. The evening is to enjoy bird watching during boat riding on the placid water of the Periyar Lake. You can spot both resident and migratory birds here.
On this day, in the morning, you travel by road for the stunning pristine town of Kumarakom, a popular tourist destination of Kerala that is placed on the banks of Lake Vembanand. On reaching, check into a hotel, along the banks of Vembanad Lake, which is also known as Kumarakom Lake. After you are done with the check-in, relish hot lunch. Lunch is followed by a memorable boat ride on the lake’s placid waters where you also spot some exotic colored avifauna species along with treating your eyes to the refreshing views of the green surroundings. In the evening, explore the nearby area on your own or visit the local market for some splendid handicrafts.
Day 10 would be a memorable one for you. Board a houseboat, locally known as Kettuvallam. This is going to be an overnight cruise where you are going to float along the wonderful stretch of Kovalam- Alleppey palm-fringe backwaters. This houseboat is going to have beautiful decorated rooms and a kitchen that would be fully-equipped. Meals prepared by a trained chef, accompanying you, are served here. Spot colorful birds and the locals indulge in their daily activities. You arrive at Alleppey, the hub of backwaters of Kerala.
Post morning breakfast, get an assisted transfer to the Cochin airport to board the flight for your onward destination.
